At your first lesson with me, there are certain things that need to be done over and above actually driving. This page is simply to let you know what will happen at that so important first lesson.

1. I will need to see and take details of your driving licence. This must be the photographic part!
2. I will then ask you to read a vehicle number plate from the prerequisite distance, currently 20.5 metres. You can do this wearing glasses or contact lenses as long as you continue to wear those same glasses/lenses whilst driving.
3. I will provide you with a copy of the driving school terms and conditions and get you to sign a declararion that you are happy with them. Note: If you are under 18, you will need to get the terms and conditions signed by your parent or guardian prior to the next lesson.
4. You will then need to pay for the lesson, if not previously done.
5. So, having done all the official stuff, we will then do the lesson. Depending on the progress that we make, the lesson should then cover the following:

1. Discussion and Briefing
2. Demonstration Drive
3. Introduction to the controls
4. Pulling away and stopping

All this means that although there is a lot of chat in the first lesson, you will get the chance to get behind the wheel and actually drive the car!
