Ashley School of Motoring - Information for Parents

So the time has come where your child is asking for driving lessons?   Or maybe you have decided that you want to be chauffered around from now on and are encouraging them to pass their test for your own reasons?   Obviously you want to be sure that they are being instructed correctly and safely.

As a fully qualified approved driving instructor I have been trained by the Driving Standards Authority and have had to pass 3 rigorous tests, theory, driving ability and instructing ability, the pass marks for which are higher than those for a normal learner.   In addition, to ensure that driving instructors continue to teach at the level required by the DSA, every driving instructor is subject to a regular check test.   My most recent check test was in May 2010 and I received a grade 4, which shows that I continue to instruct in accordance with the standards as laid down by the DSA.   I have also been CRB checked which qualifies me to work with young people.   If you require to see either my DSA registration or my CRB disclosure, please ask.

When someone signs up with me for driving lessons, they are given a copy of my terms and conditions and are asked to sign a document agreeing to them.   If the pupil is under the age of eighteen they will be asked to get the terms and conditions signed by a parent or guardian as it is not legally enforceable otherwise.   In this case, please ensure that you sign them and return them in time for the second lesson.   Your co-operation in this would be appreciated.
